DaVita is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment!

Some details about this position:

• No prior Dialysis experience is required!

• Complete a full-time, fully paid training program for 10 weeks

• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic

• Float to various clinics during and after your training

• You must be open to a flexible Full-Time variable/rotating schedule working 3-4 days/week, 10-12- and/or -14-hour shifts (alternating Saturdays) - Sunday's off !

• Flexible/open availability is required

• Comfortable working up to 15 hours per shift

• Early morning 4:30 / 5 AM availability is required

• Seasonal, Part Time, Short Term or Per Diem schedules are not available

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care

• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment

• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment

• Record vital signs and patient data

• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health

• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements:

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent

• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment

• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet

• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Desire to work in a fast paced, high-energy clinic

• Enjoys working as a team

• Computer/Technology/Mathematically Proficient

• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience

The Wage Range for the role is $23.50 - $36.50/hour. Patient Care Technician ICHD Resident: $24.00 - $25.25/hour.If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
